About the role
We are seeking a Chief Engineer to lead the engine room operations on our gas shipping vessels. The role is based in Kamwokya, Uganda, and involves close collaboration with the technical department to ensure optimal vessel performance.
Key responsibilities
- Manage daily engine room operations and maintenance.
- Lead and develop the engine room team.
- Plan and oversee operational maintenance and repair periods.
- Conduct risk assessments and advise vessel/fleet management.
- Coordinate with the technical department to maintain optimal engine conditions.
Required profile
- Mandatory STCW training.
- Advanced Gas Tanker certificate.
- Good command of English.
- Experience working with mixed‑nationality crews.
