Coffee Buyer

About the role

Jobberman is hiring a full-time Coffee Buyer based in or operating within Lukaya or Miwula. The role covers sourcing and onboarding coffee farmers, procurement strategy, supplier management and negotiation, and monitoring orders and deliveries of production, processing, packaging and distribution materials.

Key responsibilities

• Sourcing and onboarding coffee farmers to build a strong supplier base.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company objectives.
• Identify, evaluate and select suppliers, and negotiate pricing, payment terms and delivery schedules.
• Monitor order statuses to ensure timely acquisition and delivery of materials.
• Pursue cost savings without compromising quality and regularly evaluate supplier performance.
• Track market trends affecting logistics and coffee production inputs.

Required profile

• 2-3 years of experience in coffee procurement.
• Location must be in or around Lukaya or Miwula.
• Bachelor's degree in Procurement & Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent hands-on coffee procurement experience.
• Deep understanding of coffee quality standards and the ability to negotiate pricing based on quality assessment.
• Strong strategic sourcing, supplier negotiation, inventory and supply chain management, vendor relationship management and team leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and high standards of business ethics and integrity.
