Field Coordinator – Uganda Operations

About the role

PUR is seeking a Field Coordinator to join its Uganda Operations team. Based in Masaka, you will support the development, coordination, management and monitoring of ecosystem restoration, agroforestry and regenerative agriculture projects with local agricultural communities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise agroforestry activities and related projects such as improved cookstoves, beekeeping, VSLA and other income‑generating initiatives.
• Ensure project quality and compliance with contractual commitments, monitor KPIs and report observations, photos and data.
• Adapt and implement data‑collection tools, verify data quality and consistency within the assigned area.
• Supervise, train and manage the field team or implementing partners, organising meetings and training sessions as needed.
• Support country and regional teams in planning and coordination of restoration, agroforestry and regenerative agriculture projects.

Required profile

• Experience in managing field‑based environmental or agricultural projects.
• Ability to work with local communities, cooperatives, NGOs and government partners.
• Strong organisational and reporting skills with attention to data accuracy.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of local languages is a plus.
