Field Sales Representative – Door-to-Door Solar & Smartphone Sales

About the role

Apex Solaris is looking for a motivated Field Sales Representative to promote affordable PAY‑GO solar products and smartphones on loan across Iganga and surrounding districts. You will be the face of the company, engaging directly with households, youth groups and community savings groups to generate sales and build lasting relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily door‑to‑door visits and market activations to sell solar units and smartphone loans.
• Achieve and exceed sales targets (e.g., 5 solar units per day or 3 smartphone loans per week).
• Educate customers on product benefits, the PAY‑GO model and loan repayment process.
• Identify, onboard and register new customers using the PAY‑GO application.
• Provide product demonstrations, address objections and support loan applications.
• Follow up on repayments, report challenges and help maintain low default rates.
• Submit daily sales and activity reports, maintain accurate customer and stock records.
• Participate in weekly training, coaching sessions and collaborate with the field team to meet cluster and district targets.

Required profile

• Minimum UCE Certificate; a diploma in Sales, Marketing or Business is an advantage.
• At least 6 months experience in direct sales, FMCG, solar, telecom or micro‑finance.
• Own a motorcycle with a valid riding permit.
• Resident in or willing to work in the assigned district.
