Field Sales Representative – Kampala

About the role

The Field Sales Representative will be based in Kampala and will travel across the city and surrounding areas to promote Thinkx Software’s technology solutions. This full‑time, on‑site position focuses on building relationships with prospective and existing clients, understanding their business needs and presenting tailored software offerings.

Key responsibilities

• Visit prospective and existing clients across Kampala and surrounding areas to present Thinkx Software’s products and services.
• Deliver product demonstrations, prepare proposals and quotations, and negotiate contract terms in line with company guidelines.
• Maintain regular follow‑ups with leads, manage a sales pipeline, and achieve assigned sales targets.
• Gather market and competitor insights and represent the company at events, workshops and client meetings.
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure accurate solution positioning and address client needs.

Required profile

• Proven experience in field sales, business development or account management, preferably within software or technology services.
• Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal abilities to build trust‑based relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Demonstrated negotiation and closing skills with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Solid understanding of basic technology and software concepts and ability to translate client needs into solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, IT or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Self‑motivated, goal‑oriented and comfortable working independently as well as within cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with common productivity and CRM tools for tracking leads, activities and sales performance.
