Finance & Logistics Assistant

About the role

The Finance & Logistics Assistant will support the provincial program by handling day‑to‑day financial operations, logistics coordination and procurement activities under the supervision of the Finance Senior Officer.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the provincial petty cash fund, process advance and payment requests, and ensure timely disbursements.
• Verify supporting documents, classify and archive financial records, and assist in preparing periodic financial reports.
• Monitor provincial spending, contribute to reconciliations and support internal and external audit exercises.
• Maintain inventories of equipment, consumables and supplies; organise receipt, storage and distribution of goods.
• Oversee fuel and vehicle management, schedule travel and missions for project teams, and ensure compliance with logistics procedures.
• Prepare procurement files, request and analyse supplier quotes, track orders to delivery and verify quality of received goods.
• Update supplier database and create purchase records.
• Provide administrative assistance for workshops and training events.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience (minimum 5 years) in finance, logistics or procurement.
• Proven ability to manage petty cash, financial reporting and audit support.
• Experience with inventory control, asset management and travel coordination.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently at provincial level.
