Head of Sales Network (Full Time)

About the role

Jumia, Africa's leading e‑commerce platform, is seeking a Head of Sales Network to drive its market expansion across the continent. You will lead the development and execution of strategic plans that open new markets and strengthen our presence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic market expansion plans, including market entry strategies and growth initiatives.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to assess market dynamics, customer needs, and regulatory environments.
• Identify and prioritize target markets based on size, growth potential, and alignment with company objectives.
• Design and implement market entry plans covering segmentation, customer profiling, distribution channels, pricing, and promotion.
• Establish and nurture relationships with government agencies, industry associations, distributors, suppliers, and strategic partners.
• Collaborate with sales, product, operations, and finance teams to ensure coordinated expansion efforts.
• Manage expansion budgets, allocate resources efficiently, and monitor expenses.
• Track performance metrics, report progress to senior management, and adjust strategies as needed.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to regulatory compliance, operational constraints, and competitive threats.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Several years of experience in market expansion, business development or similar roles with a proven record of successful market entry.
• Strong analytical abilities and proficiency in market, competitive and financial analysis.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building internal and external relationships.
• Robust project‑management capabilities.
