Human Resources Assistant – Multiple Positions (G5)

About the role

The Regional Service Centre in Entebbe is seeking multiple Human Resources Assistants (G5) to support the Client Services Delivery Pillar. The role focuses on administering benefits, entitlements and payroll for international and national staff of UN missions and the Centre, ensuring compliance with UN policies.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing staff entitlements, including claims, danger pay, daily subsistence allowance, mission subsistence allowance, volunteer living allowance and other allowances.
• Process entitlements, benefits and payroll for international, national civilian staff and non‑staff on behalf of client missions and the Centre.
• Handle official travel and expense reimbursement claims.
• Support the service line in managing benefits throughout the staff life‑cycle, from pre‑appointment to separation.

Required profile

• Must complete the specialized Umoja HR Partner training course and obtain certification as a Umoja HR Partner.
• Knowledge of United Nations staff rules, financial regulations, ST/AI issuances and IPSAS policy framework.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Umoja HR system.
