Human Resources Assistant (UN G6)

About the role

The Human Resources Assistant provides transactional HR support within the Quality Assurance and Business Intelligence Unit of the United Nations Regional Service Centre in Entebbe. Reporting to the Unit Supervisor, the incumbent contributes to the delivery of end‑to‑end operational HR services for the Centre’s client entities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the processing of HR transactions, including personnel movements, contracts, and records.
• Support the implementation of the Umoja HR Partner system and obtain the required certification.
• Collaborate with the Deputy Director’s office and other support functions to ensure compliance with UN HR policies.
• Provide client‑oriented service to departments, peace operations, and regional commissions served by the Centre.

Required profile

• Ability to complete the specialized Umoja HR Partner training course and achieve certification.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to UN standards of quality and confidentiality.
• Willingness to work at the Regional Service Centre in Entebbe, Uganda.
