Human Resources Generalist

About the role

McDermott is seeking a proactive Human Resources Generalist to support the full employee lifecycle. The role partners with business leaders and employees, delivering HR services across talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, compensation, and HR operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide timely advice on HR policies, employee relations, benefits, talent development, and payroll.
• Support recruitment activities, prepare offer letters and contracts in line with local laws.
• Manage onboarding and off‑boarding, including orientation sessions and exit interviews.
• Assist talent management initiatives such as talent reviews, succession planning, and goal setting.
• Coordinate compensation processes, including salary reviews, promotions, and merit cycles.
• Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence on global projects.
• Maintain HR systems and generate monthly and ad‑hoc HR reports.
• Identify and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar HR role.
• Strong understanding of HR principles and practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build relationships and handle confidential information with discretion.

Required skills

• Experience with HR systems such as SAP, Oracle, or PeopleSoft.
