Instructor / Assistant Lecturer – Nursing, Anatomy, Biochemistry

About the role

The Aga Khan University‑Uganda is seeking three full‑time Instructor / Assistant Lecturer faculty members for its School of Nursing and Midwifery in Kampala. Positions are available in Nursing & Midwifery, Human Anatomy, and Biochemistry/Microbiology. Successful candidates will join a vibrant academic community dedicated to high‑quality teaching, research, and clinical practice.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate courses in the assigned discipline.
• Mentor, counsel and provide academic support to students.
• Contribute to curriculum development and academic administration.
• Maintain active clinical practice and engage in professional development.
• Participate in research activities and publish findings.

Required profile

• Relevant Master's degree (e.g., MSc Nursing, MSc Human Anatomy, MSc Biochemistry or Microbiology) from a recognized university.
• Undergraduate degree in a related field (e.g., BSc Nursing, MBBS, BSc Biomedical Sciences, BSc Medical Laboratory Sciences).
• Current registration with the appropriate professional regulatory body, where applicable.
• At least two years of clinical or teaching experience in a hospital or academic setting.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational abilities.
