Integrated Project Officer

About the role

World Vision Uganda is hiring two Integrated Project Officers for its Busakira and Alito ADPs, reporting to the Area Programme Coordinator. The role implements the Area Program Integrated Program Framework and Sponsorship Foundations, working with local government and community structures to strengthen capacity, promote adaptive programming and deliver child-focused interventions that improve child wellbeing and household resilience. It is a fixed-term, on-site position for local applicants only.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the Integrated Program Framework and Sponsorship Foundations, building capacity of community stakeholders in the Empowered Worldview approach and integrating GEDSI into activities
• Roll out the adaptive programming approach in the designated primary focus area, keeping projects on time and within budget
• Mobilize registered children and their caregivers to take part in programme activities
• Build partnerships with government officials, NGOs, churches, academic institutions and the private sector, and hold regular stakeholder review meetings
• Coordinate monthly field planning meetings and integrate project activities with sponsorship operations
• Set up an internal monitoring and operational plan, run spot checks and joint monitoring visits, and submit timely reports to donors and WVU
• Document and share impact stories, best practices and lessons learned
• Support the Annual Operating Plan and Budget, and help redesign programmes in line with Annual Programme Approach guidelines
• Comply with the Child and Adult Safeguarding Policy, monitor children's wellbeing and run sensitization sessions on children's rights

Required profile

• Minimum degree in Social Work, health and nutrition, education, agriculture or another relevant discipline
• At least 2 years of experience in community work and engagement with a reputable organization
• Local applicant only; must be a committed Christian and able to ride with a valid riding permit
• Computer literate
