Marketing Communications Officer

About the role

KADCOS Lubaga Co-operative Society, a registered Savings and Credit Co-operative (SACCO) operating in Uganda since 2012, is hiring a full-time, on-site Marketing Communications Officer in Lubaga. The role develops and implements marketing and communication plans that promote the society's services and strengthen member engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and edit marketing materials and prepare press releases
• Manage content for digital and print channels and support strategic communications campaigns
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging
• Organize outreach activities and events
• Maintain relationships with media and community partners
• Monitor the effectiveness of communication initiatives, gather member feedback and recommend improvements

Required profile

• Strong communication and marketing skills, able to convey clear, consistent messages to diverse audiences
• Experience in strategic communications and press releases, including campaign planning and media relations
• Relevant academic background in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business or a related field
• Prior experience in financial services, co-operatives or community-based organizations is an added advantage
• Ability to work collaboratively, manage multiple tasks and uphold high standards of integrity and accountability
