MEAL Officer – Monitoring & Evaluation for E‑Mobility Project

About the role
The Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Officer will lead the operationalisation and continuous strengthening of the MEAL system for LM International’s E‑Mobility Project in Uganda. The role ensures robust evidence on implementation, outputs, outcomes and contribution to the project’s 2026‑2027 targets.
Key responsibilities
- Operationalise and maintain the project results framework, indicator definitions, MEAL plan and reporting calendar in line with donor requirements.
- Develop and maintain indicator reference sheets, data‑collection tools, an indicator tracker and a performance dashboard.
- Conduct monitoring visits, verify reported results against evidence and support partners to address data‑quality issues.
- Support the Project Manager in tracking RBC milestones, risks, actions and compliance requirements.
- Facilitate participant feedback mechanisms, analyse trends and ensure timely response and learning integration.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in monitoring and evaluation, statistics, development studies, social sciences, economics or a related field.
- Minimum three years of MEAL experience in development programmes, with demonstrated ability to analyse quantitative and qualitative data.
Required skills
- Excel (advanced spreadsheet skills).
- Digital data‑collection tools (e.g., ODK, KoboToolbox).
- Data visualisation tools for dashboards and reporting.
