Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist for Nutrition Programme

About the role

IsraAID is seeking a Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist to lead a baseline assessment for its Integrated Community Nutrition Management Programme in Uganda and Kenya. The consultant will design and implement a mixed‑methods survey to establish quantitative and qualitative benchmarks for programme indicators.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct desk review of programme documents, Theory of Change, Logic Model and MEAL Plan.
• Develop, pilot and finalize quantitative and qualitative data collection tools aligned with indicator reference sheets.
• Train enumerators, oversee fieldwork in Nakivale Refugee Settlement (Uganda) and Kakuma Refugee Camp (Kenya), and ensure data quality.
• Produce inception report, refined methodology, sampling plan, and a detailed work plan.
• Deliver cleaned datasets, field notes, and a comprehensive baseline report including disaggregated benchmark values.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 months of experience in monitoring, evaluation, and baseline studies for nutrition or humanitarian programmes.
• Demonstrated ability to work with multiple data sources such as DHIS2, FSNA reports, DHS, and census data.
• Strong understanding of research ethics, safeguarding policies, and community‑based data collection.

Required skills
