Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning Officer – THRIVE 2030

About the role

The Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Officer will support the THRIVE 2030 project by establishing a robust MEAL system, tracking performance indicators, and ensuring data quality. This role reports to the Project Coordinator and is based at the National Office in Kampala.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and maintain a comprehensive MEAL framework and performance monitoring plan for all project indicators.
• Develop and administer tools to track program indicators in line with implementation plans.
• Provide guidance on data input, storage, and processing for the national M&E system and partnership iMPAQ system.
• Collect, process, and analyze project data, producing regular monitoring reports and quarterly data quality assessments.
• Perform descriptive, inferential, and qualitative data analysis, creating visual summaries for management.
• Prepare monitoring and evaluation reports documenting project impact and progress.
• Compile progress reports (monthly, quarterly, semi‑annual, annual) for management and donor requirements.

• Proficiency with SPSS
• Experience using EPIDATA
• Familiarity with EPIINFO
• Knowledge of STATA
• Ability to work with GIS tools
