Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning Officer (THRIVE-2030)

About the role

The Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEAL) Officer will support the THRIVE‑2030 project in Kampala, establishing a robust MEAL system and ensuring high‑quality data collection, analysis and reporting. This role contributes to the project’s impact by providing evidence‑based insights and strengthening accountability mechanisms.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and maintain the THRIVE‑2030 MEAL framework, including performance‑monitoring plans for all indicators.
• Develop and administer tools to track program indicators and guide data entry, storage and processing.
• Collect, process and verify project data, conducting quarterly data‑quality assessments.
• Produce regular monitoring reports, progress summaries and evaluation documents for management and donors.
• Analyze quantitative and qualitative data using statistical software and create visualisations to illustrate results.
• Facilitate accountability mechanisms at the AP and cluster levels and support learning forums.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary education (e.g., Statistics, Social Sciences, Development Studies) or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in monitoring, evaluation and learning within development or humanitarian projects.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to ensure data validity, integrity and timeliness.
• Excellent written communication skills for reporting and documentation.
