National Field Coordination Officer

About the role

The United Nations Resident Coordinator Office is seeking a National Field Coordination Officer to support UN coordination, partnership development, and programme implementation in the Karamoja region of Uganda. Based in Moroto, the officer will work closely with the UN Area Coordinator to strengthen UN system coherence and advance Sustainable Development Goals at the sub‑national level.

Key responsibilities

• Support implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (2026‑2030) at the regional level.
• Contribute to joint workplans, annual reviews, results reporting, and common country analyses.
• Facilitate coordination among UN agencies, district governments, humanitarian actors, development partners, and civil society.
• Organise and lead coordination meetings, workshops, regional review sessions, and UN commemorative events.
• Assist with humanitarian‑development coordination mechanisms and Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) activities.

Required profile

• Experience in UN coordination, programme support, and partnership development.
• Familiarity with the Sustainable Development Goals, UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework, and national development plans.
• Ability to organise field events, meetings, and joint missions.
• Strong understanding of humanitarian‑development coordination and protection issues.
