Operations Manager

About the role

The Operations Manager ensures that every improved cookstove is verified, inspected and in use, with audit‑ready evidence at all times. Reporting to the Country Lead, the role leads the Call Center, Quality Assurance and Monitoring & Evaluation units.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Call Center through its team lead, set weekly priorities, verification targets and daily productivity goals.
• Oversee Quality Assurance inspections at partner production sites and in the field, scaling capacity as volumes change.
• Plan and execute Monitoring Periods, including surveys, Kitchen Performance Tests, baseline monitoring and spot checks.
• Engage partners, prepare and reconcile weekly/monthly budgets for all three units with full supporting documents.
• Set quarterly work plans, run skill‑development sessions, propose improvement initiatives and maintain risk registers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Environmental Science, Statistics, Business Administration or related field (Master’s a plus).
• Minimum 5 years of operations, M&E or field programme experience, including at least 3 years managing teams.
• Hands‑on experience with mobile data collection tools such as ODK or KoboToolbox.
• Proven experience managing budgets, field advances and reconciliations.

Required skills

• ODK, KoboToolbox or similar mobile data collection tools.
• Advanced Excel / Google Sheets (pivot tables, lookups, data cleaning, reconciliation).
• Data‑driven decision making and KPI tracking.
• Field logistics planning and execution across multiple districts.
