Plant Engineering Supervisor

About the role

Masheda Foods is looking for a Plant Engineering Supervisor in Kampala to oversee the maintenance, repair and optimisation of all engineering systems in its processing plant. The position is full-time and on-site, and applications are accepted on a rolling basis until 30 October 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance across plant equipment and utilities
• Lead and manage technicians, assign tasks, monitor performance and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards
• Minimise downtime by responding quickly to equipment breakdowns and technical issues
• Enforce occupational health, safety and environmental regulations in all engineering operations

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering
• 5 to 7 years of experience in plant maintenance, including at least 2 to 3 years in a supervisory role
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage maintenance schedules

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of food processing equipment, refrigeration systems and utilities
• Familiarity with safety standards, compliance regulations and preventive maintenance systems
