Van Driver – Eastern Region (Sales & Distribution)

About the role

The Van Driver will provide safe, reliable transportation for MTN Uganda staff, equipment and authorised passengers across the Eastern Region. The role supports activations, customer engagements and other field operations.

Key responsibilities

• Transport employees, passengers and cargo while complying with traffic laws and MTN defensive‑driving standards.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections, keep the van clean and road‑worthy, and report any faults or accidents promptly.
• Support regional activations, events and urgent assignments, maintaining accurate logbooks for fuel, mileage and service.

Required profile

• Minimum UACE or equivalent qualification.
• Valid passenger‑van licence and at least 3 years of professional driving experience with a clean record.
• Good knowledge of Eastern Uganda’s roads, towns and rural routes; ability to work flexible hours.
• Fluent in at least two local languages (preferably Lusoga and Luganda) and strong customer‑service attitude.

Required skills

• Basic vehicle inspection and routine maintenance knowledge.
• Proficiency with smartphones, Google Maps navigation and WhatsApp for field coordination.
