Program Manager

About the role

Save the Children International is seeking a Program Manager to lead and oversee multi‑sector projects in Uganda. Reporting to the Regional Program Manager, you will provide technical assistance, coordinate implementation, and ensure high‑quality delivery across education, child protection, governance, disaster risk management and youth resilience programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement project activities in line with designs and donor requirements.
• Develop and monitor detailed implementation plans, phased budgets and reporting schedules.
• Maintain positive relationships with partners, district authorities and other stakeholders.
• Oversee monitoring, evaluation and documentation of programme outcomes.
• Support emergency response efforts when humanitarian crises arise.
• Ensure timely, accurate internal and external reporting.

Required profile

• Passion for advocating for children and improving their wellbeing.
• Experience in programme planning, implementation and capacity building.
• Ability to manage budgets and produce high‑quality reports.
• Strong coordination skills with partners and stakeholders at district level.
• Willingness to support emergency response teams as needed.
