Regional Team Lead

About the role

The Regional Team Lead will provide technical oversight and support for integrated HIV, TB, nutrition, malaria and maternal health interventions across two regions in Uganda. Working closely with district and regional health structures, the role ensures coordinated, high-quality service delivery and timely achievement of project targets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the translation of the project workplan into region-specific activities and supervise day-to-day technical implementation.
• Provide technical guidance to regional staff, sub-partners and implementing partners, ensuring compliance with best practices and donor requirements.
• Strengthen capacity of project partners through training, mentorship and performance monitoring.
• Coordinate with Government of Uganda counterparts, donors and other stakeholders, preparing reports and presentations on progress.
• Monitor and aggregate data to produce high-level overviews and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
• Review sub-partner workplans, activities and reports to ensure alignment with project objectives.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in public health, medicine, epidemiology or a related health field.
• Significant experience (5+ years) in managing integrated health programs, preferably in HIV, TB or maternal health.
• Proven ability to work with government agencies, donors and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills with experience in data-driven decision making.
