Research Assistant

About the role
Regenerate Africa is seeking a motivated Research Assistant for a temporary, on‑site assignment in Masaka. You will support field‑based data collection, observations, and documentation of community‑driven regenerative projects.
Key responsibilities
- Collect, organize, and interpret qualitative and quantitative data from field surveys.
- Maintain accurate research records and documentation.
- Assist in designing and implementing surveys and questionnaires.
- Perform basic data analysis and prepare concise reports or summaries for internal and external stakeholders.
- Participate in project meetings, field visits, and ensure compliance with ethical and organisational standards.
Required profile
- Strong research and analytical abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good organisational and time‑management capabilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and community members.
- Academic background or ongoing studies in environmental studies, development studies, social sciences, agriculture, or related fields.
- Willingness to work on‑site in Masaka, including fieldwork under varying conditions.
Required skills
- Proficiency with spreadsheets.
- Experience using word processing software.
- Familiarity with research or survey tools.
