Research Assistant

About the role

Regenerate Africa is seeking a motivated Research Assistant for a temporary, on‑site assignment in Masaka. You will support field‑based data collection, observations, and documentation of community‑driven regenerative projects.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, organize, and interpret qualitative and quantitative data from field surveys.
• Maintain accurate research records and documentation.
• Assist in designing and implementing surveys and questionnaires.
• Perform basic data analysis and prepare concise reports or summaries for internal and external stakeholders.
• Participate in project meetings, field visits, and ensure compliance with ethical and organisational standards.

Required profile

• Strong research and analytical abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Good organisational and time‑management capabilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and community members.
• Academic background or ongoing studies in environmental studies, development studies, social sciences, agriculture, or related fields.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Masaka, including fieldwork under varying conditions.
