Risk Analyst

About the role

The Risk Analyst will help protect our platform by identifying, assessing, and mitigating operational, financial, regulatory, and reputational risks. Working remotely, you will analyze large datasets to uncover abusive behavior and design controls that keep legitimate users safe.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor platform data to detect emerging risks such as payment fraud, account takeovers, spam, phishing, and synthetic identity networks.
• Query large datasets using SQL, Python, or similar tools to uncover attack vectors and quantify impact.
• Design and implement rules, models, and workflows that detect and prevent high‑risk activity while minimizing friction for genuine users.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Finance, and Legal to embed risk controls throughout the product lifecycle.
• Act as a primary responder during large‑scale fraud spikes or other active risk events, making rapid decisions to contain losses.
• Build dashboards and reports to track key risk indicators and communicate findings to leadership.
• Provide feedback on internal risk tools and help integrate third‑party risk intelligence vendors.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in risk analysis, fraud intelligence, trust & safety analytics, or financial crime investigations within tech, e‑commerce, or fintech.
• Strong ability to translate raw data into actionable insights and present technical findings to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with global compliance frameworks such as AML, KYC, GDPR, or PSD2.
• Proactive curiosity and capacity to lead cross‑functional initiatives in a fast‑paced environment.
