About the role
The University seeks a senior Risk Management Officer to develop and oversee its risk management framework, ensuring compliance and effective mitigation across all departments.
Key responsibilities
- Develop the Risk Management Framework and Enterprise Risk Management Policy for the University.
- Liaise with departmental heads to complete risk registers and train risk champions.
- Evaluate internal controls, monitor action plans, and report on regulatory compliance.
- Identify emerging risks, develop business continuity plans, and establish the University's risk appetite.
Required profile
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce or Management from a recognized institution.
- Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA or CIA (preferred).
- Certificate in ISO 31000 Risk Management.
- At least five years of relevant experience, with two years performing similar tasks.
Required skills
- Advanced MS Office proficiency.
- Experience with accounting software such as SAP and FOCUS.
- Strong analytical and data manipulation abilities.
