Sales and Marketing Officer

About the role

Sandi AI Technologies is seeking a motivated Sales and Marketing Officer to help expand its AI‑powered fintech platform across rural Uganda. You will work directly with farmer saving groups, cooperatives and smallholder farmers to promote clean‑energy irrigation solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, approach and onboard farmer saving groups, cooperatives and individual smallholder farmers.
• Promote Sandi AI’s solar irrigation and clean‑energy products through field visits, community meetings and product demos.
• Build and maintain relationships with local leaders, farmer groups and partner organisations.
• Assist customers in registering on the platform via WhatsApp, USSD and mobile channels.
• Provide ongoing support throughout the saving and product‑access process.
• Collect market feedback and report sales performance to the internal team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Agriculture, Community Development, Entrepreneurship or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in sales, marketing, field work, community mobilisation or customer relations.
• Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal abilities.
• Comfort working with rural communities and local leaders.
• Basic computer or smartphone proficiency and good record‑keeping skills.
• Passion for agriculture, clean energy, fintech and financial inclusion.
• Knowledge of local languages is a plus.
