Sales Associate (Financial Services)

About the role

The Sales Associate will work on‑site in Kampala to promote Platinum Credit’s loan products to prospective customers. You will guide clients through the application process, ensure documentation is complete, and support the achievement of sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and engage prospective clients, both walk‑in and referred.
• Present and explain the features and eligibility criteria of loan products.
• Collect, verify and process required documentation.
• Follow up on applications and repayments to ensure timely progress.
• Support marketing initiatives and maintain accurate client records.
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver excellent customer service.
• Achieve individual and team sales targets.

Required profile

• Proven ability in customer service, relationship building and client communication.
• Competence in basic sales techniques, negotiation and closing deals within financial services.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Comfortable using digital tools such as email, spreadsheets and loan management systems.
• Good written and verbal English; additional local language is a plus.
• Ability to work in a target‑driven environment, show initiative and collaborate effectively.
• Diploma or degree in Business, Finance, Marketing or related field preferred; relevant sales or micro‑finance experience advantageous.
• High level of integrity, professionalism and inclusive customer interaction.
