Sales Executive – Business Development

About the role

The Sales Executive will work full‑time on‑site in Kampala, promoting Business Skills Uganda’s services in business planning, advertising and business development. You will identify new opportunities, build client relationships and drive revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect and generate new business leads.
• Conduct client meetings, prepare proposals and close sales.
• Gather market insights and report trends.
• Participate in promotional activities, events and trade shows.
• Provide feedback to improve service offerings.
• Collaborate closely with business development and training teams to align solutions with client needs.

Required profile

• Strong sales and business development abilities, including prospecting, pipeline management and closing.
• Experience in client relationship management and building long‑term partnerships.
• Understanding of business planning, advertising and marketing concepts.
• Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills in English; additional local language is a plus.
• Ability to work independently, meet targets and manage time in a fast‑paced environment.
• Comfort using basic digital tools such as email, spreadsheets, presentations and CRM/contact‑tracking systems.
• Previous experience in sales, consulting or training services, preferably within the Ugandan market.
• Diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Sales or related field (experience may substitute formal education).
