Sales Officer – International Trade Finance

About the role

SVG Ventures is seeking a motivated Sales Officer to drive revenue growth in the international trade finance sector. Based in Kampala, you will promote the company’s financial solutions to both new and existing clients, ensuring smooth cross‑border transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, qualify, and nurture leads within the trade finance market.
• Conduct sales presentations and promote financial products and services.
• Manage the sales pipeline, track deals, and maintain accurate client interaction records.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless sales operations.
• Provide high‑quality customer service and support channel partners to meet sales targets.
• Monitor market trends, gather competitive intelligence, and contribute to regional sales strategies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in lead generation and prospecting within financial services.
• Strong background in trade finance, banking, or related financial sectors is highly beneficial.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to meet sales targets with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Kampala and engage regularly with local and regional clients.
