Sales Professional – International Trade Finance

About the role

SVG VENTURES PROJECT MANAGEMENT SERVICES LLC is seeking a full‑time Sales Professional to drive new business in the international trade finance sector. Based in Kampala, you will work directly with prospects and existing clients to deliver tailored financing solutions that support cross‑border commerce.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and qualify new business opportunities in trade finance.
• Build and maintain relationships with prospects, clients and financial institutions.
• Prepare proposals, negotiate terms and coordinate onboarding with internal teams.
• Track market trends, maintain accurate sales records and achieve individual and team targets.
• Collaborate with finance and operations teams to ensure high service standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in sales, business development or account management, preferably in financial services or international trade.
• Strong knowledge of trade finance concepts or a willingness to learn quickly.
• Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to analyse client needs and interpret financial information.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics or related field, or equivalent experience.
• High professionalism, integrity, attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Comfortable working onsite in Kampala and attending client meetings and industry events.
• Proficiency with standard office software and CRM tools.
