Sales Specialist – Financial Products

About the role

The Sales Specialist is a full‑time, on‑site position in Kampala responsible for promoting and selling Platinum Credit’s loan and finance solutions. You will engage prospective clients, explain product features and eligibility, and guide them through the application and approval process.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect and acquire new customers for civil servant, personal, and asset finance products.
• Present product details, eligibility criteria, and benefits to diverse client segments.
• Assist customers through the complete application, documentation, and approval workflow.
• Maintain strong, ongoing relationships and deliver high‑quality service.
• Achieve individual and team sales targets on a regular basis.
• Prepare and submit periodic sales performance reports.
• Participate in marketing, outreach events, and promotional activities.
• Collaborate with colleagues to refine sales processes and share best practices.
• Coach and mentor new team members on product knowledge and sales techniques as needed.

Required profile

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven customer‑service orientation with empathy and problem‑solving ability.
• Demonstrated sales experience, including prospecting, negotiation, and closing.
• Experience training or mentoring peers on products or sales methods.
• Familiarity with sales‑management activities such as pipeline tracking and performance monitoring.
• Previous exposure to financial services, banking, or micro‑finance is a plus.
• Diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, target‑driven environment and willing to work on‑site.
