Salesperson – Hybrid (Kampala)

About the role

Highlend is seeking a contract Salesperson based in Kampala to drive adoption of its credit decisioning technology across financial institutions. The role combines on‑site client engagement with flexible work‑from‑home days, focusing on the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and qualify prospective financial institution clients in Uganda and the wider African market.
• Present Highlend’s credit decisioning solutions and conduct product demonstrations.
• Manage the end‑to‑end sales process, including lead follow‑up, contract negotiation and closing.
• Maintain accurate records in the sales pipeline and coordinate with product and implementation teams for smooth onboarding.
• Develop market insights, nurture long‑term client relationships and achieve defined sales and revenue targets.

Required profile

• Proven B2B sales experience, preferably in financial services, fintech or SaaS.
• Strong communication, presentation and negotiation abilities.
• Demonstrated capability to manage a sales pipeline and meet or exceed targets.
• Comfortable working in a hybrid environment, both independently and collaboratively.
• Relevant diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Finance or equivalent practical experience.
• Knowledge of credit, lending or risk management concepts and regional financial markets is a plus.

• Competence in spreadsheet software.
• Ability to create and deliver presentations.
• Effective use of email and basic productivity applications.
