Senior Associate, Innovation and Field Operations

About the role

Evidence Action is seeking a Senior Associate to lead Field Operations for its new In‑Line Chlorination (ILC) Innovation Team within the Safe Water Now program. The role combines technical field work with rapid‑cycle pilots to improve water‑chlorination devices and delivery models across Kenya, Uganda, Malawi and India.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate field pilots that test device modifications, operational adjustments, and new delivery approaches.
• Supervise technicians during installation, modification, and testing of ILC devices, ensuring strict adherence to data‑collection and testing protocols.
• Collect, analyze, and report field data to inform iterative design and scale‑up decisions.
• Collaborate with the Innovation & Learning manager to translate field findings into actionable recommendations.
• Engage with local communities and partners to strengthen adoption and operational sustainability.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience managing field‑based pilots or operations in low‑resource settings.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage complex logistics.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in rigorous data collection and reporting.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement across multiple countries.
