Senior Internal Auditor (Remote)

About the role

EB CHEWE ENTERPRISE is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor to lead and execute internal audits across its financial and operational processes. This full‑time remote position will assess controls, identify risks, and deliver actionable recommendations that enhance compliance, efficiency, and the accuracy of financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive audit plans aligned with business objectives.
• Perform detailed testing of transactions, documentation, and control activities.
• Analyse audit findings, prepare clear reports, and present recommendations to senior management.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement corrective actions and monitor follow‑up.
• Continuously improve audit methodologies and stay updated on relevant standards and best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
• Professional certifications such as CIA, CPA or ACCA are an advantage.
• Several years of experience in internal or external auditing, risk management, or related roles within a corporate environment.
• Strong knowledge of internal control frameworks, risk management principles and applicable accounting/auditing standards.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines with high attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency with spreadsheets for data manipulation and analysis.
• Experience using data analysis software to evaluate large data sets.
• Familiarity with ERP systems for extracting and reviewing financial information.
