Senior Manager - Business Support

About the role

We are seeking a senior‑level professional to serve as the Business Support lead for the Managing Director at MTN Uganda. The role sits at the intersection of strategy, execution and high‑impact communication, acting as the MD’s right‑hand in driving critical initiatives across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the MD to monitor and advance high‑stakes projects and strategic initiatives.
• Track and drive fintech business performance and execution of projects requiring MD oversight.
• Prepare board‑level presentations, AGM decks, investor pitches and public engagement materials.
• Produce executive reports, summaries and briefs to keep senior stakeholders aligned.
• Collaborate with finance, strategy, investor relations and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of priorities.
• Provide data‑driven analysis and insights to support MD decision‑making.
• Engage with C‑suite executives, board members, investors and external partners to communicate and implement MD directives.
• Identify risks, anticipate challenges and proactively resolve issues to keep projects on schedule.

Required profile

• Degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field; postgraduate qualification is a plus.
• 10‑15 years total experience, including at least 5 years in a senior strategic, consulting, investment banking, business intelligence or executive support role.
• Experience in financial services, fintech, banking or related sectors.
