Senior Manager – Revenue Assurance & Fraud Management

About the role

The Senior Manager – Revenue Assurance & Fraud Management will lead MTN Uganda’s retained function responsible for protecting revenue and preventing fraud across the operation. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the role shapes strategy, oversees controls and drives a culture of revenue responsibility.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to and implement the Group RAFM strategy for MTN Uganda.
• Provide oversight of Revenue Assurance and Fraud Management activities for senior stakeholders including the OPCO CEO, CFO, Executive Committee and Audit Committee.
• Build and manage the retained RAFM organisation – recruitment, competency assessment, training and succession planning.
• Own the internal control environment for revenue, cost of sales and margins, ensuring robust design and performance.
• Manage the relationship with the RAFM Shared Service Hub and ensure optimal control prioritisation.
• Engage with primary control owners to support the Combined Assurance Model and address revenue leakage risks.
• Monitor and adapt the control framework in response to business, product and technical changes.
• Lead issue identification, communication and resolution across management levels.
• Ensure compliance with Group RAFM reporting standards and regulatory/audit requirements.
• Collaborate with the RAFM Centre of Excellence to design policies, processes and technology requirements.

Required profile

• Significant experience in revenue assurance, fraud management or related finance functions, preferably within the telecom sector.
• Proven ability to lead large, cross‑functional teams and manage senior stakeholder relationships.
• Strong understanding of internal control frameworks, risk management and regulatory compliance.
• Track record of implementing strategic initiatives and driving continuous improvement.
