Senior Relationship Manager - Corporate Banking

About the role

Bank of Africa Group BMCE Africa is recruiting a Senior Relationship Manager for corporate banking in Kampala. The role is about recruiting and nurturing new business deals, growing existing relationships and maintaining the bank's corporate portfolio within acceptable risk limits to enhance profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, nurture and sustain new corporate relationships with growth potential and superior returns, contributing to assets and liabilities growth against set targets.
• Manage the client portfolio actively, optimising revenue by promoting suitable product bundles.
• Negotiate and structure transactions at prospecting and closing stage, balancing client value with the bank's interests.
• Work with stakeholders to prepare high-quality credit proposals quickly.
• Manage arrears vigilantly to keep the loan portfolio's NPA within agreed parameters.
• Build the bank's brand as a leading corporate bank through service, innovation and responsiveness.
• Maintain well-documented reports, visits and contracts with clients and internal units.

Required profile

• University degree in Finance, Marketing, Banking or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in relevant financial sector positions.
• Strong track record in sales management and solid, proven credit skills.
• Excellent understanding of the bank, its strategy and its banking services.
