Special Day Class Teacher (TAP 1-3)

About the role

Special Day Class Teachers report to the Director of Special Education and the site administrator, delivering direct instruction to students with exceptional needs in the special day class program. The position is for the 2026-27 school year and focuses on providing a core learning program consistent with state education code requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct instruction to students enrolled in the special day class.
• Coordinate instructional programs for students with mild to moderate disabilities and English learners.
• Deliver a basic core curriculum that meets state education code standards.

Required profile

• Special Education Credential authorizing Mild/Moderate and English Learner.
• Submit credential copy, resume, and three letters of recommendation.
• Vacaville Unified School District teachers receive first priority.
