Staff Accountant Internship

About the role

Join McClarigan as a Staff Accountant Intern and gain hands‑on experience supporting our business tax practice. You will work alongside seasoned accountants, helping clients navigate financial challenges while developing a solid foundation in public accounting.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and review of business tax returns and related filings.
• Support the compilation and analysis of financial statements for a diverse client base.
• Collaborate with senior staff to provide strategic advisory insights.
• Maintain accuracy and meet tight deadlines on all deliverables.
• Participate in client meetings and help answer routine accounting questions.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or within a team.
• Interest in public accounting and business tax preparation.
• Clear communication skills and a client‑focused attitude.

Required skills

• Understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Familiarity with business tax concepts.
