Store Manager – Retail Operations

About the role

The Store Manager will lead the daily operations of SMARTEC Electronics’ retail outlet in Kamwokya, Kampala. Reporting to senior management, you will be responsible for driving sales, ensuring an excellent customer experience, and maintaining a well‑presented store environment.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve and exceed monthly revenue, margin, and accessory attachment targets.
• Recruit, train, schedule, and motivate sales consultants and cashiers.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards, including multi‑brand displays and interactive kiosks.
• Oversee inventory replenishment, conduct weekly stock counts, and implement shrinkage controls.
• Resolve complex customer complaints, warranty claims, and escalation issues.
• Ensure showroom cleanliness, security protocols, and accurate cash‑up auditing.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of experience managing a retail store or similar environment.
• Proven ability to meet sales targets and manage profit margins.
• Strong leadership and people‑management skills.
• Excellent problem‑solving and customer‑service orientation.
• Attention to detail in visual merchandising and inventory control.
