Team Leader - Sales (Retail Banking Department)

About the role

The Retail Banking Department of KCB Group in Uganda is seeking a senior Team Leader to drive sales of merchant acquiring and ERP solutions. You will lead a network of Business Correspondents, Direct Sales Representatives and manage partnerships to grow the bank’s digital financial services footprint.

Key responsibilities

• Create and manage rollout plans for KCBU merchants and ERP platform integrations.
• Provide strategic direction to increase acquisition and usage across merchant and ERP business lines.
• Lead BCOs and DSRs to build a sustainable network of merchants and ERP users.
• Oversee projects related to DFS sales, merchant acquiring, and ERP partnerships.
• Ensure merchants and ERP users have required supplies, POS terminals and marketing materials.
• Maintain high‑quality service standards and regulatory compliance.
• Train, onboard and develop merchant and ERP user networks.
• Prepare performance reports on merchant and ERP platform traction.
• Manage partnerships to support business strategy and balance‑sheet growth.
• Schedule promotion and awareness campaigns for merchants and ERP solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or Business‑related field.
• Minimum 6 years total experience, including 4 years in ERP‑driven sales and at least 1 year of team management.
• Experience in relationship management is desirable.
