Technology & Earthranger Administrator – Pian Upe Wildlife Reserve

About the role

The Technology and Earthranger Administrator will ensure the smooth operation of all conservation‑technology systems at Pian Upe Wildlife Reserve. You will support field staff, maintain hardware and software, and turn raw data into actionable insights for monitoring and evaluation.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain EarthRanger, sensor networks, VHF radios, Wi‑Fi mesh and GPS devices in a remote field environment.
• Train and mentor reserve staff on technical systems, data collection tools and reporting procedures.
• Support data cleaning, integration, warehousing and visualisation for M&E purposes.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software and connectivity issues promptly.
• Assist with the upkeep of field infrastructure and logistics for conservation operations.

Required profile

• Proficiency in EarthRanger and other conservation data management platforms.
• Experience with data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Knowledge of geospatial software (ArcGIS, QGIS).
• Demonstrated ability to train and up‑skill staff.
• Strong IT/ICT competency for troubleshooting hardware, software and networks in remote settings.
• Excellent written English and attention to detail.
