Territory Business Executive – Kyotera

About the role

The Territory Business Executive will drive sales and market penetration for d.light SOLAR’s solar lighting products across the Kyotera region and the rest of Uganda. You will create awareness, recruit and manage sales partners, and ensure product availability in retail outlets.

Key responsibilities

• Create awareness in the designated geography and conduct direct selling for retail outlets.
• Recruit, train and manage quality Sales & Engagement Partners to meet targets.
• Identify new customers, expand the business and activate new channels such as experience centres, phone shops and retail distributors.
• Manage regional outlet sales agents, monitor sales data and stay updated on market trends, customer needs, queries and complaints.
• Ensure stock availability across all outlets and maintain minimum inventory levels.
• Build strong relationships between d.light and clients, monitor competitive activities and implement the d.light Route to Market.
• Maintain portfolio health by keeping delinquency below 20% and reviewing new customer onboarding for payment quality.
• Analyze high‑risk accounts, drive compliance with risk and quality processes, and take remedial actions for overdue payments.
• Supervise inventory management and safety of d.light stock at all locations.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of sales experience with a demonstrable successful track record.
• Degree, diploma or certificate in a business‑related field.
• Valid Ugandan riding licence.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal abilities to quickly build rapport with customers and stakeholders.
• Continuous‑improvement mindset, discretion and confidentiality.
• Passion for social enterprise, people development and environmental impact.
