Trainee LPG Technician

About the role

Ramcogas Uganda is looking for a motivated Trainee LPG Technician to join its field team. You will receive comprehensive on‑the‑job training to become a skilled gas technician, handling installation, maintenance and repair of LPG equipment for residential and commercial customers.

Key responsibilities

• Install bulk LPG storage tanks at customer sites, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
• Deliver, install, repair and maintain a range of LPG appliances such as furnaces, ranges, water heaters, generators and more.
• Install and maintain gas piping systems, including underground and above‑ground lines, regulators, meters and dispensing units.
• Perform equipment checks, gas pressure tests and produce work orders, invoices and service reports.
• Provide customer education on safe operation and maintenance of LPG equipment.
• Maintain company vehicles and equipment, and be on call for after‑hours service on a rotating schedule.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in gas systems.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid rider’s licence.
