Truck Driver – Contract (On‑site) in Kampala

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Truck Driver to join our team on a contract basis in Kampala. The driver will transport goods safely to various destinations, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to company policies and traffic regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Transport goods to assigned locations, loading and unloading cargo as required.
• Inspect and perform basic maintenance on the truck to guarantee roadworthiness.
• Document delivery details and maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with dispatch teams to plan optimal routes using GPS and mapping tools.
• Comply with all road safety regulations and company policies.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a truck driver with a valid commercial driver’s license.
• Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws.
• Punctual, reliable and able to meet delivery deadlines.
• Effective communication skills for interaction with dispatch teams and clients.
• Flexibility to work varied hours and adapt to changing logistical demands.
