Various Positions at Policy and Economic Data Centre (MUST-PEDC)

About the role

MUST is establishing a new Policy and Economic Data Centre (MUST‑PEDC) and is seeking qualified Ugandan professionals to launch its operations. The university invites applications for several entry‑level and mid‑level positions that will support data collection, analysis, financial administration and general office functions.

Key responsibilities

• Finance and Administration Officer – manage financial records, budgeting, procurement and provide administrative support for the centre.
• Data Manager – oversee data acquisition, storage, quality control and reporting for policy and economic research.
• Data Entrant (Rotational) – rotate through data entry, validation and basic analysis tasks while gaining exposure to different functional areas.
• Data Entrant (Economist) – enter and verify economic data, assist senior economists with dataset preparation and preliminary analysis.
• Office Attendant – ensure smooth day‑to‑day office operations, handle correspondence, and support visitors and staff.

Required profile

• Ugandan national with relevant academic qualifications for the advertised position.
• Motivated, detail‑oriented and able to work in a newly established research environment.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
