Clinical Sales Manager – Western Region

About the role

Karius, a venture‑backed life‑science company, is seeking a Clinical Sales Manager to lead commercial efforts for its cutting‑edge infectious‑disease diagnostic test across the Western United States. This remote, full‑time position will focus on building relationships with infectious‑disease physicians, laboratory directors, and hospital executives to drive adoption of the company’s metagenomic sequencing platform.

Key responsibilities

• Grow sales revenue and test volume by acquiring new hospital accounts and expanding usage within existing accounts.
• Introduce Karius’s next‑generation sequencing test to key stakeholders and guide the decision‑making process for test implementation.
• Collaborate with Inside Sales, Customer Success, Medical Affairs, and Marketing to achieve regional targets.
• Maintain a pipeline of opportunities, forecast sales, and report progress to the Regional Sales Director.
• Stay informed on infectious‑disease diagnostics trends and competitor offerings.

Required profile

• Proven experience selling diagnostic or laboratory services to hospitals and health systems.
• Strong understanding of the U.S. healthcare ecosystem, especially infectious‑disease and laboratory workflows.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills with senior clinical and executive audiences.
• Self‑motivated, results‑driven, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
