Cluster MHPSS Senior Specialist – Stronger Together & Be There

About the role

The MHPSS Senior Specialist will lead the coordination and quality assurance of Evidence‑Based Methods (EBMs) across a cluster of partner countries. The role translates strategic guidance into context‑relevant support, ensuring high‑impact implementation and adaptive learning. It also serves as the primary thematic focal point for the assigned cluster.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain cluster‑level oversight of thematic quality assurance for EBM integration, scaling and delivery.
• Coordinate and prioritize support provided by Specialists within the cluster, advising on resource allocation.
• Lead adaptive learning cycles, develop learning agendas and document lessons learned.
• Strengthen partner capacity through training, mentoring and scalable learning approaches.
• Represent War Child’s EBM Care System portfolio externally, contributing to sector policy and discourse.

Required profile

• Relevant academic background in a related field.
• Experience in humanitarian or post‑conflict contexts, working with partners on co‑creation and delivery of programmes.
• Proven experience in programme design, needs assessment, learning cycles and quality assurance.
• Experience developing methods, tools, guidelines, training and learning materials.

Required skills

• Familiarity with digital collaboration tools such as Mural.
• Proficiency with Miro.
• Experience using SharePoint.
• Competence with Microsoft Teams.
