About the role
Ruka Pay Ltd is seeking a dynamic Commercial Growth & Sales Manager to lead its commercial expansion in Uganda. The role focuses on driving merchant acquisition, revenue growth, and building strategic partnerships within the fintech and payments ecosystem.
Key responsibilities
- Drive merchant acquisition and increase revenue streams.
- Develop and execute comprehensive commercial sales strategies.
- Lead, train, and manage a high‑performing sales team.
- Build and maintain strong client and business relationships.
- Identify new market opportunities and strategic partnerships.
- Monitor sales performance, KPIs, and manage the sales pipeline.
- Improve merchant retention and enhance customer engagement.
- Support brand visibility and market penetration initiatives.
Required profile
- Proven experience in sales leadership, business development, or commercial management.
- Strong understanding of sales strategy formulation and execution.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership abilities.
- Ability to thrive in fast‑paced, target‑driven environments.
- Experience in fintech, payments, banking, telecom, or related sectors is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field preferred.
